This bohemian take on the enchanted woodland theme just oozes romance and a rough-edged opulence. The key is to choose jewel and metallic tones and team them with natural finishes like wood, feathers and flowers. Doing so will keep your theme on the stylish, glamorous and intense side, rather than becoming overly twee. We’ve put together all the boho details you need right here.

Travel themes are ever popular with our real couples! It’s little surprise, considering how high on many people’s wishlists exciting destinations and holiday adventures are. Make this theme work for you by including it in your details to avoid it looking bitty. That means a map table plan, tables named after your favourite destinations, perhaps even a travel-themed wedding cake… Allude to your theme and get guests excited by sending out postcard invitation ahead of the day.

One of the most popular of wedding themes, take your country theme up a notch with a more rustic luxe look. Whether your venue’s beams are the bones of a chic Yurt or arch across the roof of a barn, use them as a base for your decorative details. Add a sense of luxury to your rustic scheme with faux furs, white frosted glasses, golden or bronze tableware and plenty of foliage runners.

Simple and sweet, you don’t need many sunflowers to make a real statement. We’ve seen them included in seaside, forest and rustic weddings, all with great success. Choose the miniature varieties for buttonholes and add in a few leafy or softer sprigs to make the bold blooms gentler. Baby’s breath or gypsophila would both work beautifully.

While many couples jump at the chance to tell us their specific colour scheme, we’ve had a few who simply couldn’t choose. The result? A multi-coloured masterpiece that has our hearts fluttering. If you’re embracing all things colourful, make sure you do just that and go all out. This isn’t a subtle colour scheme and it’s success is in celebrating that. Drape the rainbow streamers; go wild with your flowers; hang honeycombs and balloons to your heart’s content.

The carnival or village fete theme is perfect for summer, outdoor and marquee weddings. Again, it’s one to be embraced, so name and decorate each table with a different fete game; put up a coconut shy; hire in vintage drinks stations. Create a centrepiece with one focal decoration like this couple did with vintage carousel horses. And when it comes to the menu, don’t forget the popcorn, hot dog and candy floss carts… yum!
