Cherry suite
Cherish those precious pre-ceremony hours in our stunning dressing room complete with relaxation area and opulent bathroom. The elegant Cherry Suite is the perfect area for you to prepare for your ‘I do’ moment along with your bridesmaids, make-up artist and hairdresser. Enjoy a glass of bubbly and soak up the atmosphere of Morden Hall, safe in the knowledge that you are just a few steps away from your ceremony room.
Willow & Hawthorne
At the very heart of Morden Hall, light-filled Willow seats up to 120 for a civil ceremony. There can be nothing more romantic than gliding down its magnificent staircase before saying your vows. As with every room in the house, period features are highlighted by a tranquil colour scheme while contemporary details and pops of colour add to the inspirational design. For smaller ceremonies, exquisite Hawthorne is a chic drawing room with gorgeous parkland views. Its grand open fire, sash windows and high ceilings are complemented by striking patterned wallpaper and statement lighting.
Yew
Just the spot for a pre-ceremony drink or to relax during the day, Yew features a stylish bar and enticing sofas. On arrival at Morden Hall, guests can gather to enjoy a drink before the ceremony begins, soaking up the atmosphere in this elegant setting while gazing over the North Lawn. As the day evolves, Yew remains a valuable space where guests may choose to retreat for a moment of calm.
Oak
A wedding venue can never have too many rooms, and Oak is a hidden gem on the ground floor of Morden Hall. An intimate space with doors leading on to the North Lawn, its versatility makes it a valuable addition to any wedding day. Those inviting children might choose to set up a crèche area or evening movie room. Alternatively, with cosy sofas, it makes an excellent retreat for older guests to enjoy a little tranquility.
Mulberry
With its high vaulted ceiling, Mulberry has an instant wow factor. Seating up to 150, this great room is the setting for your wedding breakfast, where food and celebration go hand in hand. It can also accommodate larger ceremonies. For this special time with close friends and family, the surroundings need to be as memorable as the occasion itself. Mulberry can’t fail to impress with its sash windows overlooking the lawns, sculptural silver lighting and pastel colours. As day turns to evening, invite your guests to enjoy coffee in Willow or on the lawn as Mulberry is prepared for that memorable first dance.
Gardens & courtyard
Amongst the bustling suburbs of South London, it’s hard to believe you might come across 125 acres of National Trust parkland. Set within these grounds, Morden Hall has its own private gardens for the exclusive use of you and your guests. The meandering River Wandle separates the North Lawn from the main parkland. An idyllic spot upon which to enjoy drinks or even a few afternoon garden games, this private lawn also offers wonderful photo opportunities with its beautiful old footbridge leading over the river. As the sun goes down, delight your guests with food stalls and delicious fire-pit barbecues under the stars.
