We caught up with some real-life brides, and asked them to tell us the story behind their Romantica gown and why they loved it so much…
Karen and Dan
Karen opted for a decadent Opulence Bridal design for her wedding dress and she told us: “The moment I tried on the gorgeous white dress in Serena Bridal, I knew that Branna by Opulence was the dress I wanted to walk down the aisle in.” The beauty of this dress is that is wasn’t just beautiful it was practical, too! “It was also much lighter than other dresses I had previously tried so I was able to dance the night away!”
The Romantica eye for detail also stood out for Karen. “I loved everything about it! From the intricate detailing of the little flowers over the bodice to the subtle sparkle as you moved.” Sometimes it can be the smallest details which can make the biggest difference to the dress. After all, this is one of the biggest decisions in a girl’s life. Karen found her dream dress at Serena Bridal, Wickford.
Julie and Geraint
Julie had a dream wedding in the idyllic setting of Cyprus and she dazzled everyone in her Opulence Bridal dress, Monet. “I instantly knew this dress for me as it made me feel so special, incredible and fitted perfectly,” she says. Julie couldn’t believe how many compliments she received on her wedding day and she even told us that strangers even complimented her and told her how beautiful she looked.
Julie had the day she’d always dreamed of. “I felt like a princess on my wedding day,” she says. Julie purchased her wedding dress from Perfections Bridal and Menswear, Cardiff.
Kirsty and Steven
Kirsty’s Virginia dress really allowed her to express her personal style and express her love of all things vintage. “I feel that there’s a part of me that should have been born in a different era,” she says. “The lace and rum pink colour of the dress encouraged my love for vintage and influenced me when I was buying my accessories.”
Not only did Kirsty feel comfortable in this dress but she knew it was perfect for her. “I remember looking at my reflection and knowing that this was the dress that I was searching for.” To give a bride the feeling that they have found ‘the one’ is very special and to make every bride feel like a princess is Romantica’s ultimate aim. Kirsty bought her gown from Wedding Belles, Alness and was married in October 2012.
