How did this collaboration come about?

We were absolutely honoured to be chosen by Cancer Research UK, as it is such a wonderful charity dedicated to saving lives through research. I know the heartbreaking effect that cancer can have on a family – I lost my beloved grandmother to pancreatic cancer.

She lives on as the greatest inspiration in my life both personally and professionally. She is the one who taught me to sew and shared her love of fashion with me from a very early age.  Her presence is missed daily and the partnership with Cancer Research UK has allowed me to celebrate her life and the gifts she gave me through design.

The pins are a thoughtful way to remember those that are with us and those that have impacted our lives in immeasurable ways.  The money raised through the wedding pins will support the charity’s pioneering work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer that has already saved millions of lives.

Can you tell us a bit more about the design?

I wanted to create something that would subtly represent the creation of a union and symbolise support through times of both prosperity and adversity. The pins have been crafted to represent ‘Vines of Hope and Love’and signify how we are all connected with one another.

Weddings are such a joyful time as they bring together all your loved ones under one roof and I wanted these favours to be the perfect reminder of a happy day spent together. My everyday job is to create romantic fairytale wedding dresses and these limited edition wedding favour pin badges will complement all of my gowns, and fit with any classic wedding theme.

What makes these wedding favours so special?

Cancer touches so many people’s lives, so these favours will be symbolic and meaningful for so many people. The pins will make such a lovely keepsake from the wedding, and the bride and groom can also personalise the card to show their names and wedding date. This collaboration will give hope and happiness, and reaffirm that love really is all you need.
