The Joyce Young bride adores vintage glamour and the elegance and grace of style icons such as Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly, and wants to feel beautiful and sophisticated on her wedding day.
The collection is inspired by the romance of the 1920s, 1930s, 1950s and even the 1970s, with subtle detailing in dresses drawing reference to the different eras; Lucille offers Downton Abbey-esque 1920s chic and the Angela dress exudes Hollywood glamour, while the Janie gown hints at the 1960s style of Grace Kelly. Vintage-inspired but with a sleek, modern twist, all of the designs would be at home in any era; for Joyce, wedding dresses should transcend time.
Joyce adores the beauty and daintiness of lace, and hand-selects from Europe’s finest mills, as well as using sumptuous Italian fluid silks and satins in her designs. The couture collection features only the finest of fabrics, including Chantilly lace, handmade Belgian lace and a variety of breathtaking silks and opulent satins.
Joyce Young’s handwriting is soft, feminine and unstructured; each of her dresses is easily recognisable as a Joyce Young design. While every gown offers pure elegance and sophistication, Joyce has also taken care to add some more casual details to the designs, such as the pockets in the Tiffany gown, which add a fun, youthful element, or the stunning appliquéd flowers on the Bohemian Dream dress, which add a dreamy, romantic element to the gown.
