Located on the Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire borders is the Grade 1 listed mansion house and Parklands known as Luton Hoo Golf and Spa. The mansion house was built in 1767 and in 1999 it was bought by independent UK owned Elite Hotels group. By the end of 2007 Luton Hoo Golf and Spa was renovated and refurbished into a five star hotel. There was further growth in 2009 when Luton Hoo unveiled Warren Weir a self contained venue within its estate.
The house has a wonderful history and stands elevated in 1065 acres of parklands, including two lakes. With so much history you won’t be disappointed with your stay here! Luton Hoo comprises 228 bedrooms and suites, a spa, golf and club house. The spa and club house are located just a short walk from the mansion house within the grounds.
Getting married here will give your wedding the feeling of a 5* country Manor House. The mansion house weddings are decadent and glamorous with an array of captivating art and high ceilings backing onto beautiful lawns and gardens. The interiors boast marble interiors, period rooms and a converted Russian Orthodox Chapel. All 35 of the master bedrooms and suites within the mansion are named after Royalty or eminent people that have connections with the estate. The mansion house has its own taxi service to take you around the estate. Hidden within the parkland is also a secret garden. The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh spent part of their honeymoon at Luton Hoo in 1947.
Larger weddings are catered for in the purpose built Warren Weir located on the banks of the River Lea. Warren Weir is a self contained venue boasting 84 bedrooms and suites, a choice of ceremony and reception rooms and amazing woodlands. There’s a choice of 5 different function rooms to choose from, ranging in size to accommodate all styles of wedding ceremonies and parties. The largest suite can seat 330 guests and the kitchen can offer banquet style meals or a seated style reception. With Warren Weir being located separately from the mansion house it ensures Warren Weir has its own privacy in among the woodlands and meadows. An indoor pool, whirlpool and fitness studio are located within Warren Weir if you need to relax the night before the wedding.
All weddings are individually catered for and Luton Hoo’s fine dining is incredibly impressive, offering modern cuisine and exquisite wines. A dedicated wedding coordinator will be on hand to help with all your wedding day needs. The hotel even has its own list of recommended wedding suppliers that work regularly with brides and grooms at the venue. Luton Hoo is also ideally located for a post wedding break if you’re not going away on an immediate honeymoon. There are plenty of activities available on the estate or you can just while away the hours in the spa and treatment rooms! The spa is housed in an oak framed building near the mansion house. Guests have the choice of indoor and during summer outdoor relaxation areas. There’s heat therapy rooms and a pool area with a vitality pool and loungers to relax.
