And you can come too, too too….
Hello readers. As you might of guessed, this morning I’m featuring a beautiful wedding from one of my favey places in the South west; Bristol zoo!
(I’m so jealous right now, I LOVE the zoo, monkeys are the best!)
Anyway…over to Sarah and Martyn for the details.
“We met on the first night of Freshers Week at University,” remembers Sarah. “My friend had locked herself out of her room, and I was sitting outside in my brand new Marks and Spencer’s pajamas keeping her company. Martyn was really lovely and offered to stay and help us out. I think I fell head over heels with him almost instantly,” she adds.
“When it came to the proposal, I had hoped Martyn would ask me at Christmas,” explains Sarah. “So when I opened a gift of GHD straighteners, I was very disappointed, but my Mum told me not to be ungrateful and worry. I decided to forget about it and let things be, as we were so happy together. So, when he did surprise me with a New Years Eve question pop, I was shocked to say the least!”
“When looking through magazines my favourite dresses always tended to be Maggie Sottero ,” says Sarah. “My sister Vicky came along with me to try dresses on, and was very blunt about the ones she didn’t like! I began to feel quite sorry for the shop assistant by the end, however when we found ‘the one’ we both knew straight away,” she adds.
Other outfits included teal, puff ball dresses from Coast for the two bridesmaids and traditional grey suits for the boys.
“Our whole wedding was held at the Clifton Pavilion at Bristol Zoo. They were amazing. The minute we saw the room and tasted the food we were blown away. And the planning team were superb and incredibly helpful,” recalls Sarah.
“I also loved how we incorporated animals in to the day. One of our favourite photos is actually the one where we are stood behind the gorilla cutout, with our heads poking out. Oh and we also love the photo of our bridesmaids with the tiger balloon – it’s so cute!”
So there we have it, a big day at the zoo. Are you getting married somewhere a bit unusual? If so, get in touch and tell us all about it.
Until next time, happy Wedding Wednesday, Love Alice xx
