It’s been another fun week in the life of Wedding Ideas’ brand manager.
First stop was to The Plateaux Restaurant at Canary Wharf, where I met the team from Chicheley Hall. After a delicious lunch we were shown what the property has to offer, and this little gem has it all! With easy access from the M1, this Buckinghamshire beauty really is the perfect setting for a wedding. The house can accommodate up to 60 guests for a civil ceremony and up to 180 for an evening reception. If you want to get outside, then the stunning gardens can offer space for huge marquee soirées.
The evening was spent among the wedding industry’s finest as we celebrated the launch of leading wedding planners Temple Gregory’s brand new website at the Savoy. The room was beautifully dressed with gorgeous floral displays by the talented
Emma Lappin, and the sweetie table was full of pretty pastel-coloured sweets, which complemented the grand surroundings. Even the cocktails matched the colour scheme! We were treated to Champagne while we enjoyed the fabulous entertainment by Kevin Fitzsimmons.
If that wasn’t enough, professional dancers Robin Windsor and Kristina Rihanoff from Strictly Come Dancing popped in to have a little boogie for us. The party didn’t stop there my friends – we went on to London’s Movida club for another cocktail, or two! So if that’s a taster of their planning skills then hats off to them. These girls know how to plan a party – in style!
With the May issue of Wedding Ideas well under way, the office seems to be buzzing as we all prepare to pack our bags for the British Bridal Exhibition, which takes place this weekend. My shoes and dresses are packed and I can’t wait to get up to the beautiful town of Harrogate, where we will be greeted by a sea of gorgeous gowns and bridal bling. I am so excited to find out what brides of 2013 will be wearing as manufacturers show off their new collections for next season.
We will also be joining the best of the best when we attend the Bridal Buyer Awards, which celebrates bridal fashion’s finest. We will be going behind the scenes for all the news and gossip, so catch up with me next week to find out how we all got on.
