Wedding Ideas is all about the details – the decorations that make your big day unique. And that’s why we love our latest sponsor Wedding Mall. If you’re searching for fabulous finishing touches for your theme, look no further…
Who are you?
From table centres to sweets and everything in between, Wedding Mall have everything you need to make your wedding reception unique. You’ll find fabulous finishing touches here, as well as stationery, favours, hanging decorations and more.
Which category are you sponsoring?
We are sponsoring the Best Gift List category at the Wedding Ideas Awards 2014. We love seeing the nominees in this category as they really represent the different ways in which couples are asking for gifts nowadays. There’s usually a mix of high street favourites and honeymoon specialists, so we can’t wait to see who scoops the top prize in 2014.
What’s great about the Wedding Ideas Awards?
It is a great way to recognise the effort of those who put so much work into making each bride’s day special and unique. The Wedding Ideas team also throw a great party for the industry at an otherwise flat time of year.
What are your company’s plans for 2014?
Our buyers are currently putting together next year’s product range, sourcing new items from around the world, as well as from UK designers. We have set a target to add a minimum of 1,000 new product lines to our range in 2014. Current major additions to the range that will be announced in the near future will include a large section of personalised products, additions to our favours and table accessories range, and of course more table centrepiece ideas. Our new catalogue will be available from January 2014.
We have recently launched the first stage of our brand new website. This was a complete overhaul of the old site, and will give us a great platform for presenting new products and ideas to brides to be.
We are also planning to roll out various updates in the near future, and in particular one that we are quite excited about will allow brides to earn money from creating and showcasing their own decorations and display ideas. More info to come on this shortly once we have finalised the details.
There is also talk of whether we need to develop a Brick and Mortar presence in some form. We would love to be able to bring Wedding Mall to the high street as we realize how important it can be to see the products before you purchase them. We are currently investigating various options to see if it is viable for us to expand our business into real-life stores.
What are your top three wedding planning tips?
A lot of people often leave their venue decorations until the last minute and by then you may have difficulty finding the items that you want as they may not always be in stock. We often get panicked brides on the phone a week before their wedding asking for an item that is out of stock and not due to be restocked until the week after they get married. Suppliers often provide out-of-season sales or deals as well so you can save a considerable amount of money if you are shop savvy.
Pick a theme
There are lots of examples of themes/ideas out there and choosing yours early on will help to shape your wedding and make the whole planning process much easier.
Personalise your day
Add little touches to all areas of the day. They don’t need to be expensive but the little details help to complete your perfect theme. This can be anything from personalised table names to thoughtful favours for the guests to take away.
