I’m back! After three weeks of relaxation, sunshine and Tsunami scares, I arrived home from fabulous trip to Thailand.

Don’t worry, we managed to kill time in a hill top bar safe above sea level as we sipped Singha beer and waited for the Tsunami to hit. Four hours and a few beers later the warning was lifted, I missed the wave because I was in the loo – typical!

We love Thailand!

We spent ten days on the island of Koh Samui where we celebrated a family wedding at the northern Q Signature Samui resort. It was a breathtaking backdrop and the perfect setting. You may automatically picture backpackers when you think of Thailand but I have been lucky enough to see the luxurious side and, my friends, it does not disappoint. It’s an amazing place for a wedding and honeymoon with beautiful islands and glorious weather – I’m not surprised it’s long-haul favourite. So after the fun and excitement of the wedding it was time for pure relaxation at the Pavillions Resort in Phuket. It’s a great place to hide away with each other in the luxury of your own private pool villa. Unwind, switch off and enjoy!

Back on home soil

My first stop was back to the office to see the rest of the Wedding Ideas team. The June issue is heavily under way and with only six weeks to go before the launch of the brand new weddingideasmag.com website we had lots of planning to do to finalize the last stages of development. It’s exciting times as we face our new year makeover! We are also in the middle of three team weddings back in the office, Sophie was wed to the lovely Max last week and looked stunning! Ben’s wedding is only a couple of weeks away and the lovely Martha will finish the trio in mid-May. And just when you think wedding fever couldn’t get any higher – it just did! Tuesday night I mingled with the stars at the catwalk event for the launch of the brand new Ariella Couture collection. It was a fabulous evening of glitz, glamour and oh so fabulous gowns and yes the canapés were deeeelish! They also launched their brand new 3D website, showing digital detail like never before. How very innovative!

Cookies and moisturising cream

After catching up with my lovely fashion clients, I headed to the trendy Powder Room in Soho, where Millie’s Cookies Cupcakes were promoting the launch of their brand new products, including the fabulous new wedding favours, which come in a choice of cute little boxes for your guests, complete with personalised messages! I am still eating my way through my goody bag of delicious cookies… one for breakfast, one for lunch and two for dinner. I’ll start the post-holiday diet next week!

Now any girl would agree three weeks in Thailand may deliver a good tan but does nothing for your beauty regime so today I am off to preen and pamper myself and get my nails done and my locks revitalized by the award-winning hair salon Inanch.

I look forward to catching up next week. Have a great weekend!
