The war on fake designer wedding dresses is one step closer to being won, thanks to a new campaign.
Top bridal designers Maggie Sottero have just introduced Certificates of Authenticity to go alongside all of their bridal gowns, which prove that the dress that’s been purchased is the real thing.
“There are hundreds of counterfeit Maggie Sottero gowns being sold online and in shops and the purchase of these gowns will only result in heartache for the bride. It also undermines the bridal industry as a whole,” says Lucy Leaper, Sales Manager of Katherine Allen Bridal. “We are thrilled that Maggie Sottero have introduced these certificates as it will also mean that shops will be able to prove the authenticity of their dresses.”
Wedding Ideas would always recommend that you visit a professional bridal boutique when buying your dream dress. Choosing your gown is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and you shouldn’t miss out on any of the fun! If you’re a bride on a budget, look out for designer days, wedding fayres and end of season sales where you’ll be able to pick up a bargain.
