The bar

The bar is in the oldest part of the house, dating back to pre-878 when Alfred the Great stayed the night! The bar houses an exciting collection of guns and swords. The roaring fire adds to a very cosy ambiance where you will want to sit back and enjoy a quiet nightcap before the big day ahead.

The bear in the library

A grizzly bear he once was, and he is now the backdrop to many a photo booth picture in the library! Adorned with a feather boa and Fez, he is just one of the many stuffed animals in Sir Benjamin Slade’s menagerie of interesting creatures around the house.
