If you dream of exchanging vows in a breathtaking country house hotel, Llangoed Hall definitely has the wow factor. Here are ten reasons why you should make it your wedding venue…
Llangoed Hall is a true country house hotel. When you arrive there is no reception desk, just friendly and professional staff to look after you. The spacious reception rooms are full of antiques, complemented by a superb collection of original 18th and 19th Century paintings and drawings. And the best bit? Llangoed Hall can be exclusively yours on your wedding day.
Three ceremony settings
Llangoed Hall has three rooms that are licensed for civil ceremonies, the most popular holding 90 guests. Couples can take their vows in front of a huge window in the Morning Room with magnificent views overlooking the Black Mountains. It’s truly spectacular. Why not come and see for yourself?
The hall was originally a Jacobean Mansion of 1632, and Sir Clough Williams-Ellis re-designed Llangoed Hall in 1912. In the 1980s the hall was bought by Sir Bernard Ashley (husband of Laura Ashley) who rescued the property with the clear vision of creating the ambiance of the Edwardian country house party. Largely as a result of Sir Bernard Ashley’s foresight, much of the house and gardens remain the same as they were then but now they also benefit from all the mod cons you’d expect.
The hotel has undergone a complete refurbishment in recent years with now 23 glorious bedrooms, each with its own new en-suite with Victorian baths, stand-alone showers and glorious views. This is a real home-from-home experience that you and your guests will love.
Llangoed Hall is a beautiful 23-bedroomed country house that commands magnificent views of the Black Mountains, which provide an outstanding backdrop for wedding photographs. The interior is also breathtaking, providing a brilliant plan-B location in case of rain.

They pride themselves in using only the finest local produce, such as Welsh Black Beef and Local Radnorshire Lamb and many of their vegetables are grown in their own organic gardens.
