If you’re planning a bright wedding theme, you’ll love this new styled shoot, sent to Wedding Ideas by top wedding make-up artist Lisa Hancox…

“I recently coordinated a really summery wedding photoshoot at a brand new wedding venue on the Surrey/north Hampshire border called Froyle Park,” explains Lisa. “And we got some really gorgeous results. We included super-bright bouquets, hair garlands, table centres and even make-up!”

“Our goal was to inspire brides who love colours but aren’t sure how to incorporate them into their wedding day,” she adds. So what was the inspiration behind the shoot? “Lots of the team share a love of bright colours, which look vibrant, stylish and sophisticated when they’re combined and used in a wedding palette.”

“The team at White Lilac love mixing brights with softer tones, so the purples, peaches, pinks, corals that they chose, combined with both gold and silver, were perfectly summery and have a really luxe look. And they worked so well in the romantic backdrop of Froyle Park.”

“When it came to beauty on this shoot, I hoped brides would take inspiration from a simple, approachable and wearable look. I designed the make-up and nails to focus on pops of bright pink on the lips and nails for fun, with statement eyeliner to make the eyes stand out in the photos.”

“Skin was kept very modern; subtly bronzed with sheer, flawless coverage.  This approach to the look of the skin is something which many brides ask me for and one that I think flatters every skin tone.”

“Amanda White, our top stylist on the day, kept the bride’s hair relaxed yet elegant with a bohemian twist – especially when she used the floral garland! The bridesmaid’s hairstyle was more formal yet still modern and pretty with the use of flowers – something that a lot of our 2015 brides have been asking for.”

“The dresses worn by our beautiful models came from Amaryllis Bridalwear. We chose two gowns for the bride, the first being a classical bridal gown from Sincerity Bridal.  The circular satin ballgown features a Sabrina illusion neckline with satin trim, drop waistline and a v-back.”

“The second gown that we used was by Justin Alexander and boasted a circular skirt, pleated cummerbund and a beaded motif at the natural waist. The bridesmaid dresses were by Dessy, one of the most popular names for modern maids.”

“Finally, Carrie Devonshire was the ideal photographer to capture that contemporary, ‘infused with light’ and relaxed feel that we wanted. She did a brilliant job!”
