Vintage hair accessories fans, listen up! We’ve just been handed the latest images from Debbie Carlisle’s 1920s shoot and we couldn’t wait to show you!

The 2013 collections, Divine Deco and Floral Fantasy, feature 12 vintage style headpieces that are fashion-forward and oh-so-chic!

Divine Deco

“The six Divine Deco headpieces are inspired by the glamorous vintage hair accessories worn in The Great Gatsby, Downton Abbey and Boardwalk Empire,” says designer Debbie Carlisle. “Like these on-screen dramas, these headpieces combine elegance with a slightly decedent edge that is perfect for brides who want to make a stylish statement on their wedding day.”

Floral Fantasy

“The six Floral Fantasy pieces are my take on the dreamy images conjured up by Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream mixed with the blowsy flower crowns favoured by Lana Del Rey,” adds Debbie. “They are perfect for brides who want glamour without the full-on sparkle and shine.”

These beautiful vintage hair accessories are the perfect finishing touch for a 1920s wedding theme. If you love this retro look, try working Juliet cap veils, crystals and beading and brooch bouquets into your day. Search for wedding dresses with long, column silhouettes, drop waistlines and beading details a la Jenny Packham. For a super-glamorous look you could even add long, elbow-length gloves for the evening party.vintage-hair-accessories-boardwalk-empire

When it comes to bridesmaids, don them in vintage hair accessories, long strings of pearls and flapper-style dresses, while your stationery should have a monochrome or Art Deco feel.

Dressing your groom in a 1920s theme is easy, too. Simply look for double-breasted suits, collar pins, skinny bow-ties and peacock feather buttonholes to complete the look.

Entertainment-wise, think gramophones (which could play as your guests enter the drinks reception) and learning the Charleston as your first dance.

Are you planning a 1920s theme or do you think it all just looks a little bit too old fashioned?
