As a guest, you’re going to be watching all of the key moments of the day so just make sure that you’ve got the video camera with you! Take turns in filming so that it doesn’t become one person’s responsibility and film in short bursts rather than leaving the camera rolling for ages. Bit boring!

Interview other friends and family
Our clients tell us that their most favourite part of their wedding video is listening to the messages and words of advice from their nearest and dearest. These can be funny or heart felt but they will be precious to look back on in years to come
Dance whilst filming during the party
Most wedding’s are remembered for the party so make sure that the camera picks up the fun too! Pop the top light onto the video camera and get right up close and personal on the dance floor to get the best footage.
Film little and often
You’re not a traditional wedding videographer so don’t worry too much about getting too many shots of the cake or the venue – the photographer has got this wrapped up. Film people engaging with the video camera at different points during the day and then put it away to drink some champagne!
The best advice we can give is ‘relax!” It’s not a huge ask and it’s actually awesome fun. With a positive attitude you’ll nail it and your friends will love you for it for ever!
