This amazing shoot took place at The Izaak Walton Hotel, in the heart of the picturesque Peak District – the perfect setting for the tipis, providing a great playground and setting for the shoot itself. The team ventured to the iconic stepping stones in the Peak District’s Dovedale valley to capture the lovely models against some scenic, landscape backdrops, a great idea if you’re planning your own outdoors wedding. They took inspiration from the beautiful surroundings of Thorpe Cloud and Dove Dale, along with the natural, rustic presence of the tipis to create a relaxed, whimsical and fun theme. The idea behind the shoot involved tapping into the emerging trend of paint splashes and abstract art, combining this with the concept of recycling and upcycling – re-purposing everyday items to give them a newfound use and beauty.

The palette was fun, with spring-time elements and candy sweet colours and details. This provided a contrast with the upcycled elements, while also keeping a romantic, feminine theme. An outdoor, summer feeling is delivered through both colour and the use of icons such as bicycles and kites.

The beautiful, standout, often candid shots were captured by the delightful duo, Hannah and Toby from Red on Blonde Photography – their creative, fun and artistic style was exactly what was needed to capture the magical woodland wonderland of the shoot! The bride and groom were styled to perfection by Claire Lowe Hair and Make-up and added to the boho-chic, relaxed nature of the whole shoot. The bride wore a simple preloved, true vintage wedding dress from Abigail’s Vintage Bridal with pretty pastel jewellery and custom, bespoke footwear to complete her gorgeous look.

A colourful and welcoming entrance into the tipi was created with lashings of beautiful bunting from Tickety Boo Bunting, while Fabric Theatre created a show-stopping peak filled with ribbons. The stunning collection of pretty pastel flowers were lovingly set by Nadia Di Tullio Flowers within upcycled giant tin can centrepieces – as well as signature single stems in an eclectic collection of glass bottles. The fun neon signage from Neon Creations was also incorporated as vibrant contrast statement pieces. The cakes were a standout feature to this shoot, along with the other treats on offer they were baked and displayed by Yummy Little Cakes, including the showstopping piñata rainbow sprinkle cake.

A diverse mix of props such as a fantastic vintage bicycle, cotton reels, a giant wicker basket and theatre seats were all provided by Posh Props – along with a number of bespoke-made features, displays, signage and stationery collection, all created and styled by Mad Philomena.
