We’re loving surprise proposals at this festive time of year, and this one is no exception…

Perfectly planned by The Proposers, and ably assisted by Wedding Ideas favourites The Secret Singers, this groom planned a fake auction as the backdrop for popping the question.

The groom Mohammed had flown over to the UK from Dubai to spend time with his fiancée, Noor… But little did she know what he had in store. She loves art, so an art auction seemed like the perfect cover. So with Champagne in hand they sat down to see what was on offer…

Not surprisingly, one of the lots was a painting called The Proposal. Enter The Secret Singers, with a cool rendition of Two Princes by The Spin Doctors!

Organising a secret proposal like this is now super easy, thanks to The Proposers. Tiffany and Daisy created the UK’s first bespoke proposal planning service, with a range of proposal packages available starting from £500 – perfect if your man is struggling for ideas on how to pop the question. Or perhaps you’re thinking of proposing to him? The team can also arrange something completely unique and they spend time getting to know you as a couple before suggesting how to create the perfect surprise.

Entertainment specialists The Secret Singers were used in this particular proposal but they can also surprise guests at your reception in a number of guises, pretending to be waiters, venue staff, suppliers and more. Wedding Ideas even used them to wow our guests at the Wedding Ideas Awards 2013…

Would you love being surprised in front of a large group of people or would you prefer something private? Let us know in the Wedding Ideas forum!

  1. Mine proposed in august when we werw on holiday in turkey! He got down on one knew by the poolside in view of over 500+ people. Once the rep saw, everyone knew. All day random strangers kept coming up to us, to say congratulations. To be honest I didn’t think he’d do something so public!

  2. My other half proposed in the middle of Heathrow arrivals, after I’d been working in the US for almost 8 weeks! It was so special & I was very shocked! It felt like it was just the two of us there 🙂 x
