We instantly fell in love with this beautiful wedding shoot, and we just had to share it with you! Inspired by all things romantic, the team aimed for a sophisticated, elegant wedding theme.

We spoke to the team to find out what how they created this gorgeous shoot…

Photographer, Asia Burrill, the inspiration behind the shoot – “We‘ve had a general concept of a bridal styled shoot for a while however as soon as we came across Mariee Bridal Boutique, we fell in love with Kate’s marvellous couture bridal collection and the theme emerged. Elegant, sophisticated, yet whimsical bride modelled by charming Charlotte, classically dashing groom Mike, suited in Richard Smith Bespoke sartorial elegance and adorable Maisie as a bridesmaid. Delicate pinks, creams feature heavily throughout the shoot complimented by beautiful floral arrangements from Verdure , a nod to the organic riches of the stunning Combermere Abbey location. We loved the timelessness of the estate, its rich greenery and the Crossley Motor Car featured that is available to brides marrying there which added a touch of vintage.”

The dream-like setting of Combermere Abbey, with its enchanting, wildly romantic and unique beauty accommodates for up to 49 guests is available in classic and contemporary styled cottages, in the renovated coach house and stable yard as well as ‘Stone Lodge’, the estate’s Gothick-style gatehouse. Combermere Abbey is located between Nantwich and Whitchurch, on the Cheshire/Shropshire border.

The flowers were created at Verdure – “I love working with all types of flowers so working on this shoot was a joy! The bouquets I made were a reflection of what has been popular with our brides this year with a mix of beautiful garden type blooms mixed with more textured and delicate flowers. It was also fun doing the more sculptural pieces working with everyone else on the shoot so we got the perfect picture.

Maxine Smith was the master behind the make-up! “The theme was very pretty and sophisticated so I used a mixture of classic bridal colours of pinks, creams and soft browns to give a natural, soft look. Eyes where defined to give maximum impact and a gorgeous glowing skin was achieved using a mixture of primers, foundation and highlighters. The lips where kept natural to give an overall flawless appearance.

Vicky M created the beautiful bridal hair – “The location was so pretty and elegant as were the flowers and bridal gowns I wanted this to reflect in the hair styles. I went with non structured looks which were very relaxed and loosely pinned, using a range of soft waves to begin with working through to up styles incorporating twist and textured braids. These bridal hairstyles are very popular at the moment with many brides steering away from over ‘done’ bridal hair so we just loved the vintage style but with a modern twist this worked well with the vintage car and archway plus the luxurious flower swing.”
