The proposal

Zoe and Scott had their first date in a bar in Brighton but it was a getaway to Paris that made Scott ask Zoe to be his. “Scott had planned to pop the question at Sacré-Cœur during sunset,” explains Zoe. “But when we arrived there were lots of students playing music and it was not the romantic setting Scott had hoped for!” It wasn’t until the next day when the couple were relaxing in the gardens under the Eiffel Tower that Scott proposed.

The bride’s outfit

Zoe wore a fab gown by Augusta Jones, which she bought from White Mischief in Henfield. She also had a bolero made, giving her a different look. When it came to the shoes, Zoe found her Vivienne Westwood pair in a magazine and just had to have them! “The dusty pink went perfectly with my colour scheme,” she explains. “They even smelt like bubblegum!”

The reception

A delicious meal was served up after heart-felt speeches by Zoe’s dad, Scott and his best man, Martin. The couples lovely first dance was to You Make it Real by James Morrison and a DJ had guests dancing into the small hours, with his assistant taking photos of all the guests and uploading them onto a live screen. With the help of her super crafty mum, Zoe made a lot of the details herself, including fabric covered wooden hearts for the chair backs, a sweetie buffet, personalised paper bags and bunting that spelled out ‘Zoe’ and ‘Scott’. For the evening, Zoe’s brother Jack made a photo board using photos of the couple throughout their years together. Pollen created the flowers and Sprinkles and Swirls made the stunning cake and cupcakes. Favours were Creme Eggs as the wedding was just before Easter.
