A wedding stationery expert who has helped new businesses has scooped this year’s Special Recognition prize at the Wedding Ideas Awards 2014…
Every year, Wedding Ideas likes to acknowledge the contribution that an individual has made to the industry and this year, Lucy Ledger won our hearts.
“I’d like to start by saying what an honour it is to present this prestigious award tonight,” explained the Editor of Wedding Ideas, Jade Pearson. “The Special Recognition award is to recognise the contribution that a company or individual has given to the wedding industry, and this year’s winner truly deserves that title.”
“It’s one thing to be admired by your clients, but it takes something very special to be adored by your peers, too, and this year’s winners has managed to do just that.”
Lucy Ledger launched her wedding stationery company in 2010 from her Studio in Ecclesfield. In three short years she has already worked with over 600 couples to create their dream wedding stationery, and has built up a portfolio of graphic and web clients, as well as an abundance of greeting card stockists.
“Receiving the Special Recognition award was such an overwhelming surprise I don’t think I have stopped smiling since,” says Lucy.
Her work is so impressive that she has won several awards, including the Wedding Ideas Award in 2012 for Best Wedding Stationery, voted for by the very people who she has helped along the way.
Another of her business ventures, The Paper Girls, consists of practical workshops designed to help others become as successful as she has, offering a masterclass in design, print and business.
“It is without a doubt the highlight of my career so far! The support of the Wedding Ideas team has been unbelievable and I thank them for connecting me with so many of my wonderful brides and grooms – without them my business wouldn’t be the success it is today.”
