Classic coral

One of our favourite spring wedding colours for 2013 will be coral, and here at Wedding Ideas we really can’t get enough of this fab shade. It’s a fun, warm and feminine colour, that’ll brighten up any day, come rain or shine!

A coral-coloured dress would look divine on a blonde bridesmaid, and as it’s such an on-trend shade you’re bound to find lots of dresses on the high street.

Coral and peachy tones can easily be worked into your bridal bouquet, too, with blooms such as peach roses, ranunculus and carnations.

For a really unique idea, check out the ombre effect wedding cake in the gallery below. It’s layers and layers of tri-tone wedding cake glory, and encompasses all shades of orange right up to the vibrant coral. We love!

Amazing aqua

Aqua is another charming look that can really inject some colour into your wedding style for 2013. Perfect for high summer celebrations, or beach weddings abroad, it just captures sun, sea, and swimming pools perfectly – great if you’re a couple who love hot holidays!

To really work this theme why not give your bridesmaids or guests parasols or fans as wedding favours? To make the travel element work even further, why not consider aeroplane ticket-style invites? They look great and will get guests excited about your big day, long before the main event.

floral-toupe-spring-weddingsFantastic florals

Flowers are always on our style radar, and for 2013 big days, they’ve had a bit of a flirty makeover. Think pretty pastel flowers in candy colours, often jazzed up with other girly embellishments such as bows and ribbons.

A great way to show off your love of florals is choosing a country garden theme. The bride could wear an adorable flower crown in your hair, while your best girls could wear a bold patterned dresses. Don’t forget to go to town with your bouquet and reception blooms, too. Use big, bold displays that will fill the space well and ask your florist to create blossoms in a ‘handpicked’ style for that straight out-of-the-garden feel.

Totally taupe

Taupe is a popular wedding colour right now and you won’t be able escape it next year! Team it with a soft grey, or other muted tones like mocha, cream or blush pink to make this trend your own. Taupe also fits in perfectly with the crafty ‘make do and mend’ style weddings. Think favours wrapped in brown paper, homemade bunting, hay bales to sit on, all in a brown tipi tent.

Check out the bride’s taupe faux-fur shrug in our image gallery – a fab find from Hope and Grace.
