If you’re looking for a chic alternative to fish and chips, why not offer a fresh seafood bar with lobsters, oysters and king prawns!
Stationery
Name your reception tables after famous British seaside resorts like Scarborough, Blackpool or Brighton and put a fun fact about each place on the reverse to get guests talking.
Add some authenticity with some postcards from your chosen places. Why not make your save the dates traditional seaside postcards, too? Use an old Victorian-style Carnival font on your invitations, table plans and thank you cards to give your stationery an authentic seaside feel.
Seaside rock
Bring the magic of the beach home with some classic seaside rock. Lots of confectionery companies offer bespoke rock that you can give to your guests as favours. Little ones will love it, too!
Beach-inspired entertainment
The coconut shy, mini golf and sand castle building were all great forms of entertainment while visiting the beach, so why not incorporate them into your wedding day? Keep the little ones amused with a classic Punch and Judy show. You could even hire a ice cream tricycle to serve guests 99 cones while you’re having your pictures taken.

Nothing says seaside more than a beach-themed peep-thru board! Set up a photobooth for your guests with the peep-thru board as the main attraction. Why not ask your h2b or your dad to make one for your special day?

Look into hiring an old time barrel organ to play seaside classics throughout your day, such as I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside during your drinks reception.
Say yes to stripes
When you think of the seaside, you think red and white striped deck chairs. Replace your traditional ceremony seating with these fun alternatives or create a chill-out area with deck chairs at your evening reception so older guests can escape the music.

Use classic beach shells, such as conch, clams or nautilus shells to decorate your wedding venue. Buy them in bulk and arrange them in tall hurricane vases with candles to create an elegant seaside-inspired decoration.
