Famed couture bridalwear designer, Sassi Holford, is set to launch three new collections at the UK’s premium bridal trade show, White Gallery London, taking place at Battersea Evolution from 17th-19th May 2015.
Located at Battersea Park, London, White Gallery is attended by key influential buyers and press from across the globe and is THE place to discover the best in British and international bridal brands – from acclaimed designers to new talent.
Launching two bridal collections and one accessories collection, Sassi’s designs, all made in the UK, are quintessentially British. Her quality of craftsmanship has kept her at the forefront of the bridal industry for more than three decades.
The Sassi Holford 2016 collection defines classic elegance, with dramatic silhouettes and exquisite fabrics. Cinched in fishtails and glamorous ballgowns are the shapes that emphasise the beauty of the female figure and dramatise the wedding day. Key fabrics are matte silks, the return of duchesse satin and a modern take on damask. Soft silk crepe and precision draping express Sassi’s creativity with fluid cias cut, and, although lace still features, it appears more as an accent or a design detail.
Individuality for a Sassi bride is very important, and clever accessorising is a great way to achieve this. Sassi’s beautifully balanced set of coats, jackets, shrugettes, skirts, sashes and belts add that personal touch to the perfectly cut silhouette beneath.
The second collection, So Sassi, is the creation of a young design team working in a highly creative environment under Sassi’s expert guidance. It is perfect for the modern bride with a sense of fashion and her own style.
Building on the highly successful 2015 collection, also launched at White Gallery London, the designers have kept a close eye on emerging fashion trends to incorporate exciting elements such as cutaways and bodycon. The contemporary styling is applied to shapes as diverse as asymmetric slim silhouette, tea-length and ballgown. Key fabrics are modern laces and damasks. The dresses are handmade in Sassi’s workrooms in Somerset and the collection retails from £1,000 to £1,900.
Last and by no means least, is the Couture Veil collection. It has been created for the discerning bride who desires quality of design and making – it is designed by Sassi Holford and handmade in Sassi’s own workrooms.
The collection is truly inspirational and offers a choice of four tulles and a wide selection of trims from simple stitched to gorgeous French lace. The new designs are more handcrafted with appliqué and hand cut, fine lace feature detailing. For the perfect finishing touch, the bespoke service allows brides to create a unique veil.
