SALLY + MARTIN
WHITE AND CHAMPAGNE | ANIMAL THEME | GOLD + GLITTER + WHITE BALLOONS
NAVY GROOMSMEN | CASTLE VENUE | ROSES,ORCHIDS + GYPSOPHILIA
Sally and Martin were teenage sweethearts who, in their own words, “caught each other’s eye over a Big Mac” when they both worked part time in McDonald’s while at university. It was during a walk among the bluebells in Kent in the Spring that Martin proposed: “I was singing a song from Disney’s Frozen,” Sally says. “Martin interrupted the last line and when I turned around he was on one knee!”
Sally found her dream mermaid-style Maggie Sottero dress in The Wedding
Room, Yorkshire. She accessorised with a full-length, lace-edged veil and a Swarovski crystal Liza Design headpiece – adding some Jenny Packham ivory ats with jewelled trim as a nishing touch. Her four bridesmaids and maid of honour Reah all wore full-length strapless satin dresses from BHS in a fab champagne colour. Her groom got his blue suit from Ted Baker, bought at Moss Bros, with matching waistcoat and ivory cravat.
With a colour scheme of white and champagne, the couple dressed their beautiful castle venue with a little added sparkle adding an animal theme. The flowers were all created by Louise Harding Flowers and one of Sally’s work colleagues created the fabulous cake. Entertainment for guests was in the form of a bird of prey show and for the evening? The Dukes Of Havoc kept the dance floor busy and provided the perfect first dance for this couple with Kodaline’s The One.
Due to Sally being a Zoo Keeper, naturally their animal theme was elegantly carried into all printed stationery, seating arrangement and the cake decoration with a touch of glitter and some glittered animal figures which adorned the tables.
Petit Metallic vases were filled with blue thistles and Gysophlia to accent her flower bouquet and the white theme.
