Bridesmaid dress shopping should be exciting, not stressful. That’s why we sent Wedding Ideas’ Pippa to test out the service at Maids to Measure in London, the bridesmaid experts who adapt their styles to flatter every figure. We’ll let Pippa explain…
“First I made an appointment with Maids to Measure in their Chelsea studio,” she says. “We were welcomed with bubbles and cupcakes, and browsed the pretty studio filled with rails of gorgeous gowns and accessories to play with!”
“The choosing process was a lot of fun, and exactly how I had imagined the shopping experience to be. The initial consultation at Maids to Measure is free and you are under no obligation to purchase, which made me feel much more relaxed.”
“We actually got married in Antigua, on the beach, but I wanted these demure, navy bridesmaids’ dresses for our UK celebrations when we got home. Our party was in a country house, and the elegant nature of these dresses fitted the venue perfectly.”
“During the consultation, we got to look through lots of dress shapes, fabrics and designs and finally settled on one style and colour for a co-ordinated look. The team then adapted these designs to make them suitable for each of my bridesmaids’ figures.”
“We were called back to the studio for a final fitting once the dresses had been made,” Pippa continues. “So we really enjoyed two days of being spoilt by the team! The quality and fit were amazing and the experience was one that I’ll remember forever.”
