Grooms, listen up! Looking for an engagement ring this Christmas? Sisters Emelie and Stephanie Tyler from Purely Diamonds, share some sparkling tips on festive proposals and finding the perfect ring…
Top Tips on Christmas Proposals and Finding the Perfect Ring
Why is an engagement at this time of year so special?
Emelie: As this time of year is so family oriented, it’s no wonder we see most proposals taking place between Christmas Eve and New Year. It’s a period of love and celebration, so the magic of a proposal is the icing on the cake for many couples.
What makes a Purely Diamonds ring so perfect for a proposal at Christmas or New Year’s Eve?
Stephanie: As a family-run business, we really do put our heart and soul in to ensuring every individual item is made to the highest possible standard. This also applies to our customer service and the level of aftercare we provide. Each ring we produce is one of a kind, in that it’s designed and made in-house from scratch and everything is tailored specifically to suit all requirements, so no two rings are ever the same.
Have you got any top tips for couples who are engagement-ring shopping together?
Stephanie: The beauty of shopping together is that it adds an extra step on the journey of a couple’s relationship. In most cases, the groom will usually set the budget and the bride then gets to pick her dream ring. Together, they can learn all about the different types of diamond qualities as well as the story behind our unique and special craftsmanship.
Do you have any advice for grooms looking by themselves?
Stephanie: Take your time! It’s something you’re only ever going to do once so it’s important to do your research. Don’t buy anything on impulse. With careful thought and consideration, you’ll choose something that you can be sure your partner will love and cherish forever.
Are there any Purely Diamonds rings that you’d recommend for a festive proposal?
Emelie: Halo designs are always popular: they add a wow factor to your engagement ring without blowing the budget. Rose gold also continues to be a favourite, as the colour gives an added warmth to the piece, perfect for the Christmas season.
What do you think the top engagement ring trends will be for 2020?
Emelie: I predict an increase in trilogy engagement rings for 2020. With two royal engagement rings incorporatingthree central diamonds – both Meghan and Beatrice most recently – this representation of past, present and future will no doubt influence engagement ring choices for the next 12 months.
