Thailand

What to do

We relaxed at two amazing Amari resorts during our stay – The Amari Coral Beach and the Amari Orchid. Both were perfect not only because of the luxury they offered, but also their locations.

The hustle and bustle of Patong is just a short walk away from Amari Coral Beach, where you can admire the old Sino-Portuguese buildings or get in a little souvenir shopping at the night markets – but be ready to haggle. Stroll the bright lights of Pattaya’s infamous ‘Walking Street’ to find all kinds of entertainment, from bars and discos, to gogo bars and cabaret shows. There are many offshore adventures to be had across Thailand and chartering a longboat or speedboat for the afternoon comes highly recommended. Sail away to the idyllic beaches of Phi Phi or James Bond Island – the romantic setting for The Man with the Golden Gun.

If you’re in the mood for relaxation, you have to try the Mood Therapy treatment at Amari Coral Beach’s Breeze Spa. Lie back and let it all go with a Serene massage. Overlooking the clear waters of Patong Bay, this is where all your pre-wedding worries will begin to melt away.

Live in luxury

Amari Orchid’s soaring Ocean Tower rooms feature an open-plan design, with walk-in bathrooms, panoramic windows and balconies overlooking scenic views of Pattaya Bay. Upgrade to the Executive Level for access to the Horizon Club for luxurious additional extras. At Amari Coral Beach, you’re guaranteed a room with a view. Each with a sea view and a private balcony, you’ll wake up to the sound of the waves lapping the shores. Suites offer twice the size and luxury!

Dreamy dining

Whether you’re craving seafood by the beach or just a light afternoon snack, both the Amari Coral Beach, Phuket and the Amari Orchid, Pattaya offer a variety of wining and dining options to suit any mood. A visit to Mantra is a must for every guest at Amari Orchid – here you can choose from Japanese, Indian, Chinese, Thai or Mediterranean culinary delights. You can even learn a few tricks of the trade with the Mantra mixologists in your very own cocktail lesson. With its plush, red-infused décor, this is the perfect location for a romantic candlelit dinner for two. Venture into the world of real Thai cuisine at Amari Coral Beach’s Kinaree restaurant. Order a Papaya salad, Som Tam, to start and don’t forget the Pad Tai. Alternatively, you can opt for Italian at La Gritta.

Can you get married there?

Yes, and why wouldn’t you? Amari Orchid can offer several stunning locations for your wedding ceremony and reception. Whether you fancy the Garden Lounge, a poolside ceremony, or something more traditional in the Rimsuan Room or the grand Aranda Ballroom, they’ve got it covered.

Amari Coral Beach offers a unique location for beach weddings with beautiful views of Patong Bay. Plus, the Jetty, which is also owned by the resort, means you’re well and truly spoilt for choice here, too.

  1. We got married in may last year but We went to Thailand for our honeymoon in January and it was the most amazing place and well worth the long haul flight. We had the best time and we said we’ll go again for our 10yr anniversary !!!! But I so reccomend it, loved it, loved it, loved it!!!

  2. We had our honeymoon in Thailand and it was the most relaxing luxurious one we could have chosen. Such a beautiful destination and welcoming people, we were treated with such luxury and courtesy by the staff. Xxx

  3. Me and my fiancé went to Thailand for three weeks at the beginning of the year. It was the most amazing place we’ve ever been and so we’ve booked to go for our honeymoon next February. On a cost note, it was a lot cheaper than a two week holiday in the Caribbean. Really can’t wait to go back 🙂
