This autumn’s New York Bridal Market was awash with fabulous flowers, luxurious layers, and full-on fairytale gowns. We watched the world’s top bridal designers present their new collections for 2013, and what a show it was!
Flying the flag for Britain was award-winning bridal designer Ian Stuart, with his dramatic Supernova collection. He wowed with grand silhouettes, summer-inspired pastel colours and layers of vintage-style lace.
Since its inception in 1994, Claire Pettibone’s bridal collection has been known for its delicately embellished gowns with a vintage touch. For 2013, Claire wowed the New York crowds with a breathtaking catwalk show filled with beautiful blooms. The dresses boasted floral embellishments, sashes and corsages and headdresses were whimsical and woodland-like – perfect inspiration if you’re planning a summer celebration. She also set a new train trend in motion with attachments on the hip and long cowl backs – fashion-forward brides, take note!
