Let’s face it – Britain has reached peak royal wedding fever ahead of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tying the knot on Saturday (19 May).
And now, Marks & Spencer has jumped on the celebratory bandwagon, changing its name to Markle & Sparkle for the weekend.

Yep, to celebrate (and cash in) on the royal wedding, several stories will be decked out with glitzy Markle & Sparkle fascia.
The Windsor branch of M&S is a focus of the re-brand, and the bride and groom are expected to pass the store following their wedding ceremony at St George’s Chapel on Saturday.

But other shops including the ones in Kensington & Chelsea, Reading, Swindon and Sutton Coldfield will also feature specially designed Markle & Sparkle windows and decor.
Markle & Sparkle photo booths will be available for customers to create a memento of the day, while screenings of the wedding will air in some stores.

In a statement given to Wedding Ideas, M&S marketing director for food & hospitality, Sharry Cramond said: “As a quintessentially British brand we had to do something special to mark the royal wedding and what better way to welcome Meghan to the family than to ‘marry’ both our names together for the weekend,
“As a retailer we’ve celebrated 34 royal weddings over our 134-year history, but this is the boldest idea we’ve delivered yet!
“We wanted to spark a smile from Harry and Meghan on their big day and capture the excitement and celebratory mood of the nation on receiving a real-life Hollywood princess into our royal family!”
