Ever fancied tying the knot at The Rovers Return? Fans of classic British soap Coronation Street can now have their dream Corrie wedding on the set!
Continuum Leading Attractions, who operate Coronation Street The Tour , applied for a non-religious and civil ceremony license after receiving numerous requests from engaged couples wanting to celebrate their day at the former Coronation Street set.
Couples who get married at this unique venue can say their vows inside the Rovers Return or the Underworld factory, before stepping onto the hallowed cobbles to take their wedding photos in front of iconic sites such as the Roy’s Rolls and Nick’s Bistro and celebrating with a reception on site.
“We have received several requests from people asking if they can get married at Coronation Street and are now really pleased that we can answer these with a yes,” says Andy Begg, General Manager of Coronation Street The Tour. “It’s an amazing place to hold your wedding – just think of the photos! It’s a real must for any diehard Corrie fan wanting to tie the knot in style.”
The weddings will take place in the evenings outside of school holidays to accommodate scheduled tours, which will run until October 4th, making a Coronation Street wedding a true once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
