Lovebirds, Zoe and Frankie, opted for a retro wedding with tons of handmade decorations!
Zoe and Frankie met as teenagers while on a double date with their best friends to the cinema! Despite the boys picking a terrible film, sparks began to fly between the two and it was a later date when they were flirting by attaching hair clips to each other – 10 years later and they still laugh about it.
Frankie chose the perfect moment to propose to his beautiful girlfriend – in Dorset where Zoe spent so many happy summers as a child. They took a stroll along the pier, reading little plaques lined along the edge and Frankie pointed one out that said, ‘Zoe Topley, marry me?’ Zoe burst into tears and of course said yes!
This stunning bride broke tradition and went for a retro look – her dress was tea-length with lace capped sleeves and a beautiful tulle full skirt. All five of her bridesmaids wore vintage-style dresses in individual colours and looked amazing!
The overall feel of the day was 50s, of course! The second was literature, which was translated in the flowers, décor and groomsmen and finally they had the multi- coloured theme running throughout, too. This creative couple didn’t hire any decorations, instead Zoe made it all herself, including centrepieces, table confetti and their top table Mr & Mrs sign.
The cake was made by Frankie’s cousin and chef Aaron, and it featured yummy red velvet and traditional vanilla layers – yum!
