Your wedding album is going to be pulled out for years and years to come after your big day, so you want it to be PERFECT.
Paul Collins from wildaboutweddings.com shares his top tips on how to get the best wedding photography for that special keepsake…
1. Don’t forget your man
The days of guys playing a small part in wedding snaps are gone. Designer suits and looking a million dollars without upstaging the bride is the way to go. Make sure your man’s up to scratch for a photoshoot, straighten that tie and put the hair in place. He’ll thank you later.
2. Bring the bouquet
The bridal bouquet will be one of the main props in your photos and can help you relax into a pose by giving you something to hold. It may not need to be in every picture, but in some you will feel naked without it.
3. Touch up your make-up
You may have decided on professional make-up and hairdressing, so make sure you’re still looking perfect when you have your main photos. These usually take place after the ceremony, so before venturing out, get in the bathroom with your chief bridesmaid and make sure you still look your best!
4. Relax and have fun
A good photographer will make you feel at ease, even if you don’t like having your picture taken. You will become used to being photographed and the more you relax and enjoy it, the better your pictures will be.
5. Capture the detail
Give your photographer a list of the detail you want recorded: the shoes, the flowers and that intricate design in your beautiful dress. Then, forget about it! It’s the people that make your pictures. Concentrate on each other, friends and family and have a great time. With a good photographer, you can’t go wrong.
