amanda-wyattYour body shape often changes, and the silhouette that you once found flattering may surprise you during your search to find the ‘perfect’ wedding dress.

My best tip is to trust your instincts! If you feel like you’ve stepped just stepped into a fairytale, you will know that’s the one for you!

If you’re unsure, here are a few little pointers to help you along the way –

If you have a large bust

Discover your inner glamour girl and choose a sweetheart, halter, or plunge neckline.

A dress with boning will give added support for dancing the night away and a fishtail shape is particularly flattering, flaring out just below the knee the gown will balance your top half to show off your curvy figure.

If you want to cover your arms

A wrap, shrug or shawl are the perfect solution to covering your arms without having to sacrifice the perfect bridal gown. Planning a winter wedding? A white faux fur or marabou shrug is a glamorous way to cover up for you and your bridesmaids.

If you have an undefined waist

A great tip for creating the illusion of a waist is to look for a gown with a deep V-neckline in both the front and an open back.

If in doubt, or you just want to add a little extra something to draw the eye into the waistline, a delicately detailed belt or sash can make your midsection appear more defined.

If you are tiny on top, with a rounder bottom half

Balance out your figure with a full skirt bridal gown in A-formation from the natural waist to the floor, highlighting your narrow middle and floating away from the hips and thighs. For extra brownie points, a spaghetti-strap body will showcase your figure.

Celebrate your figure and don’t worry! No matter what your body shape, you can guarantee your man will be far too happy to be marrying you to even notice your insecurities when the big day comes around.
