Today’s blog post is from photographer couple Tino & Pip – who are always great fun to have at a party! But very professional too!
“We’ve been to some rather stunning wedding venues in the past, with grandiose grounds and cavernous halls, but some of our favourite places to shoot weddings have been tucked away in the vast urban expanse of cities. Aliki and Riaz’s was just one of these, and just kept on getting better and better. A lovely intimate ceremony in Chelsea Registry office on King’s Road was followed by a trip on a 1950s single-decker London bus to a hidden gem amongst London’s churches, St Mary the Boltons. Tucked neatly away in a side street off Fulham Road, this cute little church simply wows upon entry, opening up into a magnificently lit building – the perfect setting for Aliki and Riaz’s blessing.
We were then honoured to accompany the wedding party as they boarded the bus once more, headed for the sumptuous Connaught Hotel in Mayfair. Aliki’s winter-berry bouquet, in a bold red and orange, perfectly complemented the bright red exterior and green interior of the bus. Whilst the guests were enjoying the drinks reception, we nipped out for a glimpse of the incredible cake, situated in another stunning room, where they were to dine. The lovely Aliki and Riaz then graciously invited us to photograph them in their African-inspired suite with adjoining study, once again lavishly decorated, and perfectly suited to Aliki’s gorgeous short lace wedding dress.
After a quick stop beneath the wonderful glass roof at the top of the historic, listed stairway, we left this adorable couple to enjoy the rest of the day with their families. Thanks again to Aliki and Riaz for sharing such a special day with us!
Thank you to Tino & Pip for all the wonderful photography.
