Wedding Ideas is known for its incredible details section, filled with fabulous finishing touches for every theme. But this year, the crown for special touches goes to husband and wife team, Heidi and Steve at Giddy Kipper.

“As a small business in the huge wedding industry, an award like this means the world to us,” says Heidi. “We love our job and so to be rewarded by a national magazine is totally amazing. We won our category last year and were completely shocked that we even managed to get to the final! To be in the final for the third year running and then go on to win again was the BEST feeling ever. The awards night was brilliant fun… we didn’t want it to end!”

Giddy Kipper was launched at The Country Living Fair back in 2004, selling handmade, hand painted wooden home accessories and gifts. As the company took off, they were frequently asked to provide wedding products for brides and grooms, as well as favours and decorations for wedding venues. So in 2006, they added the wedding range to the Giddy family and haven’t looked back since!

Products range from small initialed hearts for place settings to larger personalised hearts for the happy couple, bridesmaids and flowergirls and personalised stars for the pageboys. They also make decorations for the venue, like large direction signs and products for specific themes.

“Being a small company, we are able to communicate directly to ensure the couple get exactly what they want,” says Heidi. “As we make everything to order, we are able to provide a wide variety of designs – we can adjust existing designs or design something totally new to fit in perfectly with the wedding theme.”
