Inside details

If you’re planning a festival-style wedding in a marquee or a teepee, the first thing you need to do is decorate the inside with lots and lots of traditional bunting! The Wedding Ideas shop has some gorgeous vintage-style bunting, which would be perfect as a base your fun festival-styled day. If you’re looking for a more contemporary look, then bright paper pom-poms are a fab alternative.

Decorate your festival of love with some cute hanging wicker hearts, these can be hung on the inside of the tent or on the backs of your guests’ chairs as pretty favours that they can then take home. Continue your rustic details with some cute natural trug baskets, which you can use to hold your confetti.

Talking points

When planning your centrepieces, think lots of foliage and fun. Dress a rustic-style manzanita tree with lots of brightly coloured hanging tealight holders and create a simple but effective talking point for your guests.

Give your guests some fabulously fun bubbles as wedding favours and get them to use them in some of your wedding pictures! If bubbles aren’t your thing, then create a wedding photobooth and have your guests take fun pictures with some festival-inspired props! Pop these pictures in a book and you have an instant wedding album!

Outside decorations

Next you want to create a show-stopping entrance to your marquee. Direct your guests with some fun signs, which direct them to the reception. Two five foot-tall ficus trees, at the beginning of a walkway lined with some gorgeous rose petals will create an inviting entrance that will really make your guests want to come and join the party!

Finally, as the night closes in on your celebration, create a romantic mood with some gorgeous Moroccan lanterns. These can be placed inside or outside of your reception area to create a fantastic fire-lit glow, that your guests will adore.
