When looking for wedding dresses at The National Wedding Show you will be able to try on a wide range of shapes and styles. We recommend giving them all a try to find the one that really suits you best. After all this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
To make the most of your visit, we recommend like any normal dress fitting that you keep in mind some small points so that you can really see the dress for its true potential and so that you enjoy the experience.
Wear your hair up
You probably haven’t quite decided on your hairstyle for the big day and even if you have an idea we recommend that you keep your hair up in a loose pony tail or bun so you can keep it out of the way when trying on but pop it down at a flash if necessary.
Go for nude underwear
Wear white or nude underwear when trying on wedding dresses. Trying a selection of styles and materials you may find that some are more revealing than others. Wear white or skin coloured underwear to minimize the chance of the colour showing through.
Bring a slip-on sock
We recommend a slip on sock of your own if you intend trying on lots of shoes. Where you can try dresses on, the stand holder will often have a selection of shoes that you can try to see the impact with the dress. Of course if you have been super organised and have your shoes already, then bring them along, too.
Be open-minded
Remember that often the style you want is not always the best for your shape. Come with an open mind and try as much on as possible – at The National Wedding Show you will have the biggest range and choice ever!
