Want to know what made Lee and Paul’s wedding so special? They chose wedding favours that touched both of their hearts, as well as their wedding guests…
Lee and Paul married in September 2013 at The Vu, a beautiful venue on the outskirts of Bathgate. Opting for an oh-so-elegant pink and grey colour scheme, accented with touches of diamond and pearls.
“For the ceremony, bay trees lined the aisle with pink rose petals scattered down the aisle. At the reception we had silver bows tied around all the chairs. On the tables we had silver candelabras with cream candles, small diamantés, and small pink and cream pearls scattered over all the tables along with the favours.”
Lee and Paul opted for Cancer Research UK silver heart pins designed by Suzanne Neville, to complement the elegant theme.
Lee added: “We picked Cancer Research UK silver heart pins designed by Suzanne Neville, to complement the elegant theme. We picked Cancer Research UK favours as I am a cancer survivor and my father-in-law has myeloma, so it is a charity close to both of our hearts.
“The guests loved the favours and thought it was a lovely gesture, many still wear the pins to this day.”
It was two years after meeting Paul that Lee was diagnosed with cancer, in 2006. Lee says “Paul stuck by me through the hard times and we are now happily married“.
