Wedding Ideas have teamed up with award-winning hairstylist Joshua Altback and wedding accessories superstar Olivier Laudus to bring you some gorgeous bridal looks that you can do at home!

Today we’re going to show you how you can create a gorgeous side bun that will look incredible in just a few minutes! “Buns are really in fashion at the moment,” says Joshua. “Especially since 1920s themes have become more popular.” A glamorous updo like this is perfect if you’re having a dazzling necklace or your gown has a high neckline. No necklace? Just add a glamorous pair of earrings as a striking finishing touch.
What you’ll need is…
- A friend to help you
- Heater rollers (Curling tongs should suffice if you don’t have these)
- Hair wax
- Hairspray
- A tail comb
- Hair bands
- A hair doughnut
- Hair clips to help manage the hair while you’re styling
- A lot of hair grips
Boho waves in 5 easy steps
Create an chic boho hairstyle that will make you look and feel like a country garden princess! Follow these five simple steps and you’ll create this easy-to-do look in no time! This is the perfect style if you’re planning a more relaxed ceremony. Think about adding in clip-in hair extensions if your hair is fine or flat – this look is all about big, bouncy, voluminous waves.
Step one
Section out your hair to make it easier to style with your curling tongs.
Step two
Start curling your hair in sections, wrapping each one to two-inch section around the barrel of the tong, holding it in place for a few seconds to set.
Step three
Once your entire head has been curled, tilt you head forward and run your fingers through your hair to loosen the curls and create a more wavy style.
Step four
With your head still tilted forward, set your bridal hairstyle in place with some hairspray. This will help keep the volume all day.
