In the market for a serene spa experience? Treat yourself to a pampering pick-me-up at the Donnington Valley Hotel
There’s a decent sized pool, jacuzzi and several steam rooms including an aromatherapy room where you can sit and breathe in lovely herbal essences. We treated ourselves to aromatherapy massages perfect as a pampering pick-me up and afterwards, chilled out in the very relaxing relaxation lounge which overlooks the grounds. There are several different spa day packages which makes it very easy to find one to suit you.
The two AA rosette award-winning restaurant has a lively, informal atmosphere where the wine list is incredibly comprehensive, so you’d be hard pushed not to find a glass of something to like. The head chef has designed dishes that can be enjoyed with friends, such as sharing platters and carve-your-own Sunday roasts which all adds to the sociability of the dining experience here.
It would be hard to ignore the 18-hole golf course as you can pretty much see the course from every hotel window – it’s an immaculate course, so if you or your other half fancied a round then there’s equipment hire and professionals on hand. Or you can just enjoy sipping a cocktail at dusk watching the sun set over the 18th hole.
This a great place for a little R&R and the perfect location for a weekend break if you want to do some exploring with the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire and the South coast on its doorstep.
