We treated ourselves to aromatherapy massages perfect as a pampering pick-me up and afterwards, chilled out in the very relaxing relaxation lounge which overlooks the grounds. The two AA rosette award-winning restaurant has a lively, informal atmosphere where the wine list is incredibly comprehensive, so you’d be hard pushed not to find a glass of something to like. The head chef has designed dishes that can be enjoyed with friends, such as sharing platters and carve-your-own Sunday roasts which all adds to the sociability of the dining experience here.

It would be hard to ignore the 18-hole golf course as you can pretty much see the course from every hotel window – it’s an immaculate course, so if you or your other half fancied a round then there’s equipment hire and professionals on hand. Or you can just enjoy sipping a cocktail at dusk watching the sun set over the 18th hole.

This a great place for a little R&R and the perfect location for a weekend break if you want to do some exploring with the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire and the South coast on its doorstep.
