Engaged couples looking for a romantic, pre-Valentines evening out are are in luck, as this unique and historic venue in the city is opening its doors on the 10th February and is welcoming couples and wedding planners to a fabulous evening of bubbles, canapés, cakes, designer gowns and lots, lots more.
The magnificent Merchant Taylors’ Hall, nestled in the heart of the City of London, has occupied the same site since 1347. It boasts nine sensational spaces, including a jaw-drooping Great Hall – complete with Renatus Harris organ – and a stunning Courtyard Garden. The venue can host up to 240 wedding breakfast guests and offers numerous picture-perfect backdrops for wedding photography.
At the event, as well as enjoying a tour of Merchant Taylors’, brides and grooms with their family and friends will be able to try some of the kitchen’s delicious canapés. Members of the in-house catering team will be on hand to offer advice on menu design, food and wine matching. To whet your appetite even further, luxury cake makers GC Couture will be at the ready with samples of some of their 50-plus, mouth-watering cake flavours.
There will also be opportunities for brides to try on some of this season’s most coveted bridal gowns, courtesy of Emma Victoria Payne and accessories by Olivier Laudus. Plus a chance to meet up with top photographer Lisa Bretherick and florists from Blue Sky Flowers.
Members of Merchant Taylors’ Hall’s dedicated wedding team will be at the Showcase to offer wedding tips and to answer any questions couples may have. Other confirmed exhibitors include the prestigious Indigo Images, florist Hybrid and cake designer Abigail Bloom.
