Lovebirds, Christina and Jon, had an incredibly gorgeous wedding day – they even got to hang out with Kim and Kanye (kind of)…
The moment Christina met Jonathan, she knew there was something special there. Despite this, she stood him up on their first date, but they kept bumping into each other around town. Jon proposed to Christina by dropping the ring into a champagne glass on Valentine’s Day. It didn’t all quite go to plan, though. Jon had forgotten to book somewhere so most of the evening was spent driving around looking for somewhere with a table!
The Greek Orthodox Church that Christina attends regularly was the perfect venue for this stunning wedding. The blessing of the wedding crowns – an Orthodox tradition where the bride and groom both wear crowns – was something that they will remember forever. Moxhull Hall was chosen for the reception, where the best man’s speeches were hilarious and involved cardboard cut outs of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West…
Christina found her beautiful Allure dress at the National Wedding Show. The bridesmaids all wore designer dresses from Debenhams but Christina loved them so much that she bought herself one, too! The wedding breakfast at Moxhull Hall was a lavish affair including shank of lamb and no less than three desserts! The theme of the wedding was modern glamour, and while decorations in the church were kept simple, the combination of black, white and silver meant that Moxhull was transformed for the evening.
One of the magical centrepieces at this glamorous reception was The Couture Cake Company’s cake, which included a sticky toffee layer and was designed to complement her dress. The favours were also made by Couture Cakes – cupcakes that were made to look Chanel- esque. Christina and Jon chose a DJ who played a mixture of Greek and English music and a saxophonist called Andy added a special something! Lana Del Rey’s West Coast was the first dance.
