Getting married in the UK doesn’t have to mean missing out on exotic flavours – Kemp and Kemp Catering aim to bring the tasty treasures of top Italian cuisine for an elegant Italian wedding breakfast that will WOW!
Wedding caterers Kemp and Kemp love to do things differently. No set menus and no corkage charges are just two of the ways they break with convention. Instead, chef Karen Kemp and her husband Richard, who looks after event management, both use a creative approach to design personal menus that suit the style and taste of each couple, their guests and the style and formality of their day!
This year with a strong trend for Italian-inspired menus, Karen attributes to the fragrant, colourful and unfussy ingredients, perfectly suited to a breezy, elegant summer wedding. Italian food can be shared from platters, sharing wooden boards or painted ceramic serving dishes, and will instil a relaxed tone, flowing with conviviality and conversation.
For a truly authentic Italian taste, serve a melt-in-the-mouth porchetta – slow cooked, fall apart tender shoulder of pork stuffed with fresh rosemary, softened onions and fennel seeds. Finish with a simple yet surprising dessert of vanilla ice cream, drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and a sprinkling of salt.
When it comes to decorating your reception venue for dining, linger alfresco at trestle tables in the shade, decorated with pots of aromatic herbs, vibrant lemons and foliage from olive trees for a stylish Italian experience. Buon Appetito!
