Beach… as seen at Tabitha & Dan’s wedding
Whether you’re getting married abroad or planning a big day on a UK beach, Tabitha and Dan’s wedding in Bournemouth will inspire you! We love their beachy ideas, in pale blue and ivory. They mixed vintage birdcages and teapots with shells and mini candle votives to make their tables super sweet.
Their beach hut reception venue was dressed with hurricane lanterns, seaside-inspired bunting and personalised wedding signs. “Our theme was nautical with vintage touches,” says Tabitha. “Dan and I had so much fun collecting unique items to make our theme come to life.” Steal their beachy style today with our brilliant buys…
Rustic… as seen at Lisa & Mark’s wedding
Are you planning a rustic theme? Start here! Real-life couple Lisa and Mark chose this popular look for their autumnal wedding. They dressed their barn venue with rustic flowers, vintage-looking vases, mini lanterns and lots of floral touches. They also used wedding signs to direct guests to different parts of the reception, which we think is a great idea!
The couple’s choice of transport fitted their theme perfectly too! “The tractor has been in the family for years and has now been passed on to my father,” says Lisa. “Dad made the hoop over the trailer, and then my sister decorated it with ivy, bunting, and hay bales for Mark and I to sit on.” Get this rustic look for your reception now…
1920s… as seen at Jessica & Simon’s wedding
Glamorous, sophisticated and the perfect theme for a winter wedding, the 1920s is one of the hottest wedding themes right now. Real-life couple Jessica and Simon chose this theme for their big day at Blenheim Palace. “The Great Gatsby was being filmed at the time we got married, so suddenly the era became in fashion,” says Jess.
Tables were dressed with candelabra and hurricane vases surrounded by wreaths, while flowers and tealights in small glass votives were the main decorations. Jessica also designed the Art Deco-style monogram that decorated all their 1920’s style stationery. Love this look? Dress your day with these dreamy Art Deco-inspired details…
Brights… as seen at Bridget and Boris’s wedding
Colour blocking is a huge hit for weddings in 2014 and a great alternative to vintage, pastel themes. We loved how Bridget and Boris create their beautifully bright reception. “Our theme was colour so anything bright worked for us!” says Bridget.
“The flowers were very important for making an impact, we had jam jars and vases full of them, plus a friend made over 90 metres of coloured bunting, which completely transformed the white tent.” Love this look? Think coloured table cloths, bright handpicked blooms, and of course a colourful sweetie table. Buy everything you need to create this colourful look right here…
