As spotted at the Vera Wang and Jenny Packham catwalk shows, bridal hair for 2016 is loose and ethereal – a sharp-contrast from 2015’s refined and perfectly polished looks. Inspired by this shift towards softer styling, Great Lengths’ latest bridal hair tutorials are designed to appeal to today’s bohemian brides. Here we show you style no 2 a tousled wavy half up do! – A beautiful frame for a sweetheart or straight neck line dress!

Before
Verity is wearing 100x Great Lengths hair extensions (50cm length) in shades ‘Cinnamon Dream’ (84), ‘Champagne Twist’ (10) and ‘Ash Beautiful’ (23). Before styling, Verity’s hair was washed, dried and barrel curled to give the hair body. The curls were left to cool for around 30 minutes.
Step One
Remove all the clips and brush through the hair with a paddle brush.
Step Two
Section the hair at the crown and backcomb underneath. Once all the backcombing is complete, smooth the surface using your brush–don’t be too rough. Use your fingers to re-define the crown section then sweep this back. Hold against the head, push up slightly (to encourage body) and pin in place.
Step Three
Take small sections of hair from one side, sweep these around the head, and pin in place at the back.
Step Four
Repeat this process on the other side then mist with I.C.O.N Done for hold.
Step Five
With the front fringe hair, sweep this back around the head, but don’t pull tight. Pin in place. You can add detail at the back by lifting lengths of hair, and pinning up to create more of a cascading curl look. Give the lengths of the hair a final brush through.
Finished Look
Finish the look with a little India Oil – worked through your palms then run through the lengths. The finished look is an on-trend half-up style – perfect for weddings, a prom or a red carpet event.
