Bridesmaid dresses have got to work hard! Not only do they have to flatter a multitude of figures, they also have to come in a range of cool colours to suit every theme and, ideally, be able to be worn again. Dessy is one of the top names when it comes to dressing your best girls and here’s why…
Their unrivaled colour palette, plethora of necklines and super selection of matching accessories make them a real one-stop shop for your maids. It’s no wonder, then, that so many of our real brides choose Dessy for their girls on the big day. Our Real Wedding section is inundated with dreamy Dessy dresses every month!
Here are just a few of our favourite real-life Dessy bridesmaids that have featured in the magazine over the last 12 months. But which bride do you think chose the best styles for her maids? Let’s take a closer look…
Zoe’s bridesmaids
We’re loving the sweetheart necklines on these dresses – super flattering for most bust sizes. The pale green colour is a brilliant shade for spring, while the ruched bodice and floral detail add interest at the waist. Teamed with ivory slingbacks and simple silver jewellery, this is a really elegant look.
Becky’s bridesmaids
Becky chose to stick to one colour scheme but mix and match the styles for her bridesmaids, and it’s worked wonderfully here. Some girls have chosen strapless styles, others have gone for the one-shoulder design. Mixing necklines is a great way to add a modern twist to your overall bridesmaids’ look – but don’t mix lengths because it will just look messy!
Rebecca’s bridesmaids
Rebecca’s best girls looked super-chic in their floor-length chiffon gowns. The strapless style worked on everyone and the contrasting sash gave the look more depth. Matching the colour of the sash with the colour of the flowers was a genius idea, too – we love!
Katherine’s bridesmaids
If your girls are looking for a little more coverage, try this style made famous by Katherine’s best girls. Even though the cap sleeves disguise the shoulders, the plunging neckline adds drama and the vibrant colour just pops in these pictures. “We picked out a dress from Dessy that looked pretty, and would be flattering for Annie who was pregnant,” says the bride.
Siobhan’s bridesmaids
Siobhan is certainly a fashion-forward bride! Not only did she pick a super-cute 50s-inspired gown to wear herself, she gave her bridesmaids one of the hottest colours for 2013/14! This regal purple shade is perfect for country garden weddings like this one. It really makes the flowers – and the bride’s dress – stand out! We love the different necklines, too.
Helen’s bridesmaids
This cool kiwi shade really flattered the skin tones of Helen’s bridesmaids and worked perfectly with her festival wedding theme. This strapless style goes straight across at the top, giving bridesmaids more body confidence when running and dancing around on the big day.
