Every year Sassi visits European textile fairs to unearth the amazing fabrics that inspire her award-winning designs. This season sees her working with a range of innovative textures and soft, floating fabrics such as fine lace and embroidered tulle.
“I try to focus on evolving a new collection so that a design theme emerges very naturally,” says Sassi. “I like to emphasize femininity with my designs; for the bodice I focus on elegant portrait neckline and bustier detailing. The overall silhouettes are designed to make a statement – from an impressive ball gown to a flattering column skirt with fluted hem.”
We love that many of the gowns from the Savoy collection offer delicate coverage on the shoulders and arms, which is perfect for brides who prefer not to go strapless.
