After scooping Best Wedding Stationery in the Wedding Ideas Awards this year, we reveal Sarah Want’s fabulous new designs for summer 2014 and the inspiration behind them…
Sarah lives in Cornwall and is inspired by her beautiful surroundings and creates her country life on paper using pretty floral patterns and illustrations. Her country style certainly shines through in her work and her wedding stationery is perfect for any outdoor, rustic, garden or marquee-style wedding. So what’s she got in store for brides-to-be this year?
This design, believe it or not, was conjured up from looking across the straight plough lines in a field. I have interpreted this idea onto paper and, of course, prettied it up with some gorgeous floral pastel patterns with some hand-stitched detailing.
This design from the popular Lovebirds collection was inspired by the birds that flit around my garden. I have revamped the design in a soft coral and duck egg combo for summer weddings in 2014 – perfect for whimsical romantics!
Summer Garden was inspired by beautiful vintage flower posies, every girl loves flowers! A mixture of pastel pinks, soft amethyst and blush – a hot wedding colour for 2014 – this design is bang on trend.
All you need is…
All you need is… is quite simplistic and minimal but just sums up the whole sentiment of a wedding. With rustic hessian and wooden button details, but with a bright pop of colour in the lettering, this is a contemporary, romantic design.
Barn weddings are growing in popularity and it’s clear to see why – they are the perfect setting for a whimsical rustic wedding. I was inspired to create this after attending a friend’s barn wedding; it was so pretty I wanted to recreate the feeling on that day. A mixture of soft pastel colours amidst rustic oak and pretty trailing pink roses make for a magical invite!
Lace has always been a strong part of wedding styling and I’m pretty sure it will be for many years to come. Inspired by the jam jars I wrapped in lace and hessian for my own wedding, this collection is a case of less is more. Lace is just so intricate and delicate and speaks for itself; it just doesn’t need anything else!
As well as these gorgeous new designs, Sarah has just launched her pretty new website where you can peruse all of these lovely new collections at your leisure. And once you’ve chosen your perfect design, make sure you read our feature on the basic rules of wedding stationery right here.
