We caught up with Gilly Page, owner and designer maker at Gilly Page Jewellery and we just had to share this beautiful winter wedding shoot with you! Find out the inspiration behind the photographs…
The Jeweller – Gilly Page
“I am a romantic soul and love the idea of my bespoke silver pieces being so much more than a piece of jewellery but instead a keepsake that through the personalised silver charms tells a story. All of my pieces have a bohemian rustic feel and for this shoot I wanted to tell a story of an etherial snow princess on the way to marry her prince! My bridal crowns of delicately twisted silver wire, vintage pearl and crystal beads echo the sparkle of a frosty morning with droplets of ice twinkling and dancing in the light and the silver charms tell the story of the bride and groom engraved with initials, date and personal message. I wanted to continue the bohemian feel in the flowers I used in my crowns and accompanying bouquet, I have worked with Amy from Fairleys before and she knew instinctively exactly the story I wanted to tell and we worked together creating the celebration of rich winter colour, texture and loveliness to both contrast and compliment the pale etherial beauty of our model Tor. After seeing photographs by Amy Breeze I knew that she was who I wanted to work with to capture the story of the shoot.”
The Florist – Amy Fairley
“I have worked with Gilly before and my style of floristry complements Gilly’s bohemian rustic pieces perfectly. After a conversation with Gilly on the winter story she wanted to create, I knew I wanted to create a bouquet that was both rich and deep in colour and texture. I visualised Christmas but with my own individual twist. I used lots of lovely silver eucalyptus at different levels with mentha and velvet grand prix roses contrasted with scabiosa seed pods and elderberries, basically a bunch of lusciousness. Gilly then used the same flowers and berries to entwine through her delicately twisted silver crowns to compliment the look.” See more from Fairleys Bespoke Floristry!
The Photographer – Amy Breeze
“I absolutely adore autumn and winter from the moment the leaves turn from a pallet of green to a blaze of glorious reds, golds and oranges to the frosty icing covering the ground like a sparkling diamond blanket. I had spoken to Gilly and knew that she wanted to tell a winter story so the idea for the shoot was born. We wanted to create a shoot that brides could use as inspiration for their own winter weddings and wanted winter to ooze through every aspect of the shoot from the jewellery, crowns, flowers and dress.” See more photography from Amy Breeze here.
